Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the HUBS app or visiting joinhubs.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use HUBS. These Terms apply to all users of the app and website.

2. Description of Service

HUBS is a real-time group location sharing platform designed for riders and groups who want to stay connected during shared experiences. Features include live location sharing within sessions, in-session chat, direct messaging, and session management.

HUBS is available on iOS and Android. Some features may require a paid subscription.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use HUBS. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. HUBS is not intended for users under the age of 18.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not create accounts for others without their permission, impersonate another person, or use HUBS for any unauthorized or illegal purpose.

5. Location Sharing

HUBS requires location access to function. Your location is only shared when you explicitly join or create a session — joining a session is your opt-in to location sharing for that session. Your location is shared solely with other participants in that session and is not visible to any other users. Location sharing stops automatically when you leave the session.

You may request background location permission to continue sharing while the app is not in the foreground during an active session. You can revoke this permission in your device settings at any time.

You are responsible for being aware of your surroundings while using HUBS. Do not interact with the app while operating a vehicle. HUBS is not a navigation or safety tool and should not be relied upon as one.

6. Acceptable Use

HUBS has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to use HUBS to:

  • Post, share, or transmit content that is hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable
  • Harass, stalk, or track individuals without their knowledge or consent
  • Bully, intimidate, or abuse other users in any way
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content through chat or messages
  • Interfere with or disrupt the HUBS platform or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice.

7. Content Moderation and User Safety

We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users. HUBS provides the following tools to protect you:

Flagging Objectionable Content

You may report any message or content you find objectionable directly within the app. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We commit to reviewing every report and taking appropriate action — including removing violating content and suspending or permanently removing the offending account — within 24 hours of receiving the report.

Blocking Users

You may block any user at any time. Blocking a user immediately removes them from your feed and prevents them from interacting with you through HUBS. Each block also generates a notification to our moderation team so we can review the account for potential violations. Blocked users are removed from your experience instantly.

Developer Response Commitment

We will act on all objectionable content reports within 24 hours. Action may include removing the reported content, issuing warnings, suspending accounts, or permanently removing users who repeatedly violate these Terms. Users who are removed for violations are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees paid.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

HUBS may offer paid subscription plans. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store via RevenueCat. Payments are processed by the respective platform and subject to their terms.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings. We do not offer refunds except where required by law.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (messages, profile information). By submitting content to HUBS, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to operate the service.

You are solely responsible for any content you share through HUBS and agree not to share content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.

10. Intellectual Property

HUBS, its logo, design, and all software are the property of Liquid Vision LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding or content without prior written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

HUBS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of HUBS is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HUBS and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to accidents, personal injury, or loss of data.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to HUBS at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of HUBS shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of HUBS after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
